I am an investigation-focused multidisciplinary artist whose practice begins with close observation of the environments I encounter. Through photography, frottage, collecting, sketching, and cyanotype, I document the distinct qualities of specific places and translate these observations into multi-layered compositions using handmade recycled paper, printmaking processes, natural dyes, and collage.

My current work centers on lichen, organisms that exist only through collaboration between fungi and algae. I am drawn to lichen as models for understanding community, interdependence, and ecological resilience. The intricate structures, textures, and slow growth of these overlooked organisms inform compositions that ask viewers to reconsider what they pass by without noticing.

Across all of my work, the documentation process is as integral to the practice as the final composition. Field notes, collected materials, and photographic records are not preparation for art-making; they are art-making. By elevating these acts of observation and collection, I recognize that curiosity itself is the foundation of my practice.
