Assembled Ground: Contemporary Art Exhibition in Larchmont, NY

Four artists who build images the slow way, mark by mark, layer by layer.

Assembled Ground gathers the work of Allison Belolan, Jennifer Cadoff, Dan Florin, and Mitchell Visoky, four contemporary artists for whom making is a matter of accumulation. Working in collage, drawing, monotype, and black-and-white photography, each attends to the ground, natural and built, as much as to the image.

The palette is grayscale throughout, punctuated by gold and yellow that offer a quiet point of connection. Across four distinct practices, image is held in tension with structure.
